IN
THE HUDDLE

Have you ever put water in a pot, turned on the stove, put the pot
over the fire, and then just watched what happened? First the water
just sits there. Then those little bubbles start forming at the
bottom of the pot. They sit there waiting to jump with all the
excitement building and then…it POPS! The water starts to boil,
popping and splashing with the fire. Well, much like the water I’ve
described, the blood of the Tree Town Spitfire football team is
beginning to bubble with excitement. It starts with just one
person, one look and it grows.
It’s the aura that radiates from a person while she is doing
something she loves and genuinely enjoys. It’s a passion first
displayed as a spark, soon enough, and through practice, the spark
becomes a full-fledged fire burning deep. One ember is all it takes
to spark another fire, as the process repeats itself, the next thing
you notice is a glowing wildfire. more...
Spitfire Nation, your passion presents itself today as a spark.
Some of you already have the fire, the look in your eyes that says,
“Here I am, come and get me.” The look says it all; it comes from
deep inside as your love for the game, its determination, its focus
on the task at hand. Ladies, ignite the fire. Let it burn through
you and start the fire in the next person. Show the world what each
individual is made of and what it means to be a Tree Town Spitfire
football player!
