February 2, 2008 - Kris
is in her second season with the Spitfire. She plays to relieve
stress and stay athletic. Kris is a Quality Engineer for Riker
Products. She is married to Samantha and they have three
children. She loves spending time with her family.
When Kris was in High School in Genoa, Ohio
she played basketball, softball and ran track. Nothing in
particular stoked her interest in playing for the Spitfire; she
just remembers watching them practice a few years ago and
decided to tryout last year.
Kris’s biggest challenge playing football is
when she gets hurt. She just picks herself up, brushes the
dirt, grass and mud away and puts her heart back into the game.
She is one tough cookie. Kris is proud of
her football accomplishments, mostly of the completion of her
first year. Just making it through and wanting to come back for
more has been enough for her. She is now a “seasoned veteran”.
Her favorite football moment came at the end
of last season on the way home from a heartbreaking loss in Ft.
Wayne. The team was full of spirit and spunk after the hard
fought game. Avocado, anyone?
