NASHVILLE, TN - The National Women's Football
Association has announced that Impossible Dream Sports, LLC is
moving the Toledo Spitfire to Ann Arbor, Michigan this fall in
preparation for the 2007 season.
The decision is based on a variety of considerations including
facilities and the availability of players in a sports-oriented
market. "This is not something we?re doing on a whim; we thought
long and hard about making the move. Ann Arbor offers many things we
feel are necessary to give our team the opportunity to really be
competitive in all aspects of the game that we simply don't have in
Toledo," says managing partner, Val Sharpe. "We will certainly miss
the people of Rossford (OH) Parks &Recreation as well as the
Rossford Exempted Village School Board. They were always very good
to us."
The NWFA is very supportive of the move. "Val's a great owner and we
believe this move will take his team to a new level. He will have
access to many more talented athletes and a bigger market overall,"
states league CEO, Catherine Masters.
The team will be hosting tryouts at the WideWorld Sports Center
located at 2140 Oak Valley Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48103. Please visit
