Even with national growth in the popularity of women’s football, it is the local sponsors who play a critical role in our effort to:

 

    1) Provide female athletes the opportunity for to play full contact football

    2) Offer reasonably-priced entertainment the whole family can enjoy

    3) Support community programs providing services to those in need

    4) Introduce positive female role models and strong community leadership

 

The ladies who play for the Spitfire are serious athletes who work hard and continue to make those who support them proud.  They range in age from 18 to 45 and are representative of our community of homemakers, students, business owners, teachers, contractors, law enforcement officers, medical professionals, and just about anything else you might imagine.  While their personal and professional endeavors vary, they are brought together by their common love of football and the age-old desire to put on the pads and play.

 

This is the sixth season of Spitfire football, but just our second in Ann Arbor and we are thrilled to return to Pioneer High School’s Hollway Field to play our 2008 season home games.  The regular season begins in April and runs through June with games played at 7:00 on Saturday evenings.  We anticipate a strong fan following in this market and hope that your partnership investment will pay significant dividends to you and your organization.

 

We attract players and fans not only from the Ann Arbor area but from all over the Detroit metropolitan area, our original home of Toledo, and places as far away as Flint, Jackson, and Cleveland. 

 

We strongly believe in supporting the organizations that support us, so business sponsors can count on having access to a wide range of fans and potential customers from different locations in addition to on-site home game exposure, representation in printed materials, mentions during Webcasts of home and away games, and twelve months of exposure on the team website.  Business sponsors will also be entered automatically into a monthly sponsor appreciation drawing through which you can earn team appearances, gift certificates to local businesses, a newsletter feature spot, and Spitfire merchandise.
